City National Plaza, Downtown Los Angeles, California

As one of the most iconic public plazas in Los Angeles, this space is planted by the twin 52 story international style corporate towers completed in 1972. At the center of the plaza is a grand fountain together with the striking orange sculpture “Double Ascension” by Herbert Bager. Collaborating together with the Building Owner, Commonwealth Partners and the Architect, Gensler, Bennitt Design Group updated and renovated the plaza space as a new inviting “Urban Living Room” complimenting the space is a popular new food and beverage pavilion together with a multitude of seating, lounging and dining amenities. New water wise native plantings include California Live Oaks and Mesquite Trees. Collectively, these dramatic improvements have not only transformed the plaza but created new asset value for Commonwealth Partners.
