USC Ronald Tutor Campus Center, Los Angeles California

Comprising nearly 200,000 sf. The Campus Center consolidates Student Affairs and Activities in a dynamic and innovative new five story complex.  This new heart of the campus not only features over 9 separate contemporary student and faculty dining options but alumni offices and work and meeting spaces for the numerous and diverse University student organizations. In collaboration with the Architect, AC. Martin Partners, we developed conceptual and schematic designs for the exterior courtyards, arcades, courts and the primary feature plaza. The landscape design not only preserves and integrates two spectacular landmark Moreton Bay Figs but fosters and facilitates improved campus circulation patterns. As a vibrant nexus of activity, students, faculty and visitors now enjoy state of the art multiple venues for al fresco dining, gathering, meeting and relaxation. The generously proportioned and well- furnished grand plaza has become an iconic focus of the student community and an engaging venue for University celebrations and events.  As a testament to the University’s environmental initiatives, the Center has been certified by the US. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Program (LEED®).
